Palais du bey, an architectural work that takes us on a journey through time during its visit, across its arcades, walls, decorations and Turkish designs in the Islamic and Andalusian style telling us the story of Oran.
Palais du bey, built for Mohamed el Kebir during the presence of the Ottomans in the sixteenth century. This was his second residence given the strategic location with a panoramic view over the Bay of Oran.
Divided into three parts, the palace contains : The Diwan to your left, The Women’s Residence, The Favorite Pavilion.
In addition to a courtyard and several other compartments such as the stables and jails.
Some modifications took place after French colonization such as wooden floors and fireplaces.
